Once our professional sales staff helps you create the design you envision and determine the right products to bring it to life, we will schedule a professional, on-site measure.  Accurate measuring of your home or jobsite is critical to the successful completion of your project.  Our measurers create a scale drawing to detail the dimensions and layout of the areas to be installed so that we can determine the appropriate amount of product you will need to complete the project properly.  They also check for suspected problems with an existing substrate.  It is not unusual to discover cracks or other substrate issues once any existing flooring is removed.  It is important to have the foundation for any project structurally sound and properly prepared to accept new materials so as to minimize the risk of future problems.

Additional information the measurer will gather include things such as the number of pets and/or children in the home, traffic patterns, light sources, removal of existing floor coverings, seam placement, direction and/or patterns used to install the new material, oversized, antique or specialized furniture or electronics to be moved, etc.  Addressing these items in the first stages of your project will enable our professional staff to ensure a smooth process throughout the job.

The key to any successful completion of a job is a proper measure.  Our professional measurers have the expertise required so you can feel confident in choosing The Floor Store to direct your project.
